Installation Instructions
– Press the Power button to turn on the printer
– Load plain white paper into the input tray
– Open the exterior door
– Open the ink cartridge access door
– Wait for the carriage to move to the center and become idle
– Lightly press down on the ink cartridge to release and remove it
– Remove new cartridge from packaging and remove plastic tape
– Do not touch copper-colored contacts or nozzles
– Insert the ink cartridge into the correct slot (black on the right)
– Push until it snaps into place
– Repeat for other cartridges if necessary
– Close the ink cartridge access door
– Close the exterior door
– Follow on-screen prompts
– Wait about 30 seconds for the alignment page to print (only after installing a new cartridge)
Alignment Instructions
– Lift the scanner lid
– Place the alignment page print side down on the right-front corner of the scanner glass
– Close the scanner lid
– Press Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color
– The printer aligns the ink cartridges for best print quality
