Installation Instructions
– Turn off the printer before installation
– Open printer cover to upright position and remove
– Let print head cool if recently used
– Remove tension unit by squeezing lock tabs and pulling away
– Ensure print head is centered; if not, power on and off, then remove ribbon
– Remove new ribbon cartridge from package
– Turn ribbon-tightening knob to remove slack
– Insert cartridge and press both sides to fit hooks into slots
– Guide ribbon between print head and ribbon guide without touching white cable
– Turn ribbon-tightening knob to feed ribbon, ensuring no twists or creases
– Reinstall paper tension unit and close printer cover
